Hello CVE Photographers!
We need YOU — to help us collect photos to use in the yearbook. Our aim is to include every child and every event from the PTA Back-to-School Picnic to the 5th Grade Farewell Ceremony. But we can only do this with your help.
Bring your camera to every school event you attend. Take lots of photos -- and not just of your child, please! Groups of 3-7 work best. Try some action shots, or photos that include a background or “prop” so it shows what event is being photographed. Cameras work best unless your phone has a high quality setting.
Then just get your images to us! There are several ways of doing this:
- If it is just a few images, you can email them to khwikstrom@yahoo.com. Be sure to indicate the teacher and event.
- If you can go into school, there is a folder on the CVE student drive to store the yearbook images. Login, go to Computer, select the S: drive and scroll down to the folder labeled “YEARBOOK 2011-2012″. (If you don’t know how to get to the server, ask your child to show you. I’m sure s/he will enjoy helping you get logged in!) This works well with a thumb drive or CD.
- If you can’t get into school to upload your photos, we’ve created an account at dropbox.com so you can get us your photos from internet-accessible computers. Login with the username khwikstrom@yahoo.com and p/w cve2011. We’ll get the pics onto the school’s server.
- Finally, if you are unable or uncomfortable with the other options, please send your images on a CD, thumb drive or memory card to the attn. of Katherine Wikstrom in Mrs. Keeney’s class. I will upload the pics and return the device to you. Just be sure to include your name and child’s teacher!
FYI, images taken from photo sharing sites are typically compressed and will not print well.
