Earn 4 CVE

There are lots of ways for you to help the CVE PTA earn money — without reaching into you wallet! Consider participating in the following promotions, offered by businesses to show their support of public schools:

Giant Supermarket — Register your bonus card at www.giantfood.com/aplus (click on “Designate a School”) and Giant will donate a certain percentage of all purchases to the school in their BonusBucks program. Designate CVE with ID#02742.  You may also enroll by calling 877-366-2668.

Escrip (Safeway, among others) — Go to www.escrip.com and sign-up as a new user and/or renew your Safeway card by clicking on the graphic on the lower left hand side. Be sure to enter account number 6492846.

Target — Designate CVE as your school of choice and Target’s Take Charge of Education program (click on “Enroll in Take Charge for Education”) will donate a percentage of your purchases made on your Target charge card. Call Target Education Hotline at 1-800-316-6142 from 7 a.m.–midnight. (CST), Monday–Friday. CVE school ID is 57729.

Office Depot is Taking Care of Education 2007 by providing the essential tools and supplies that students need to be successful in the classroom.  Every time you give our school’s 5% Back to School ID Number, CVE will receive credits equal to 5% of the qualifying purchase to use for FREE SUPPLIES!  CVE’s School ID Number is 70047501.

Boxtops for Education — Save the small logos that appear on many supermarket items — they’re worth ten cents apiece. Now, don’t be fooled into thinking that ten cents doesn’t add up! Since 2002, CVE has earned more than $7,900 from those little pieces of cardboard and plastic. Every year we have contests to see which class can bring in the most boxtops or a “Boxtops store” where the children can “buy” trinkets in exchange for boxtops. It’s a good math exercise, as well as a fun fundraiser. See www.boxtops4education.com for all the ways you can help earn money for CVE!

Campbell’s Labels for Education — Save the labels of Campbell’s products to help us earn extra money — they really add up. This offer applies to Campbells, Pepperidge Farm, V8, Swanson, Prego, Marketday and Franco-American products. We also run a contest to see which class can bring in the most labels — there’s a small, specially marked trash can for the labels in the lobby of the school. Be sure to mark your child’s name and teacher on the bag/envelope. For more information, go to www.labelsforeducation.com.

Cartridges for Kids — Empty computer printer cartridges can be recycled, and CVE PTA receives money for every one we send to the manufacturer. Collection boxes are in the lobby next to the large screen television.

Recycle Cell Phones — Old cell phones are also recycled with a payment given to the CVE PTA. Collection boxes are in the lobby next to the large screen television.
