We have been informed today from Michele Prumo, Chief of Staff of BCPS, that they are drafting a letter to share with us as to where they are with Cromwell Valley Elementary. As soon as the letter is available, we will distribute to all parents so that everyone will have the same accurate information.
We’re back again! This year the after school Green Club will be around helping “green school” CVE take care of our environment! We will continue with school yard clean ups, stream clean ups and our support of the maintenance of the CVE Nautre Trail! We will meet the 3nd Thursday of the month beginning in October.
Green Club membership will be open to the entire CVE community; the only prerequisite is that both student and parent complete the application, promising their support of the environment and the club. Due to the nature of our activities, parent volunteers are necessary. Parents are requested to volunteer for at least two after school meetings per year. Additionally, there is a onetime $5 fee to cover snacks for each meeting. Application and Trail/Stream permission slip deadline is Tuesday, October 14th.

Community forums scheduled to seek feedback about BCPS school facilities
What: Baltimore County Public Schools will host five community forums this fall that have been scheduled to solicit feedback from students, parents, stakeholders and others about school facilities across the school district.
When & Where: Each of the five forums listed below is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.:
• Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Catonsville High School, 421 Bloomsbury Avenue, Catonsville 21228
• Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Perry Hall High School, 4601 Ebenezer Road, Perry Hall 21236
• Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Chesapeake High School, 1801 Turkey Point Road, Essex 21221
• Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Loch Raven High School, 1212 Cowpens Avenue, Towson 21286
• Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at New Town High School, 4931 New Town Boulevard, Owings Mills 21117
Background: As BCPS continues examining long-term planning to accommodate growth, the school system is committed to incorporating stakeholder viewpoints in its planning process. To do so, five community forums have been scheduled to gather public priorities related to the needs of both existing and future physical facilities.

magnet application deadline is approaching and the school would like to hear from interested parties. If you would like to speak, please arrive 15 minutes early. Each speaker puts their name in a box to get the opportunity to speak, and gets 3 minutes.
