Mark your calendars for Friday January 22! The PTA will be holding a brief General meeting prior to our annual Family Fun movie night. The meeting will cover any updates since the Back to School Night general meeting, and any budget modifications. Our bylaws require us to hold a certain number of general meetings throughout the school year to keep everyone informed. After the meeting, the movie part will get underway. We hope you will bring the family for a fun and enjoyable evening with pizza, popcorn and the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Also after the movie, the Gigabyte Giveaway prizes will be awarded! This is an annual tradition at CVE. Teachers, staff, and PTA donate goodies to encourage good behavior and reward student achievement. Every student is given 10 chances towards the Giveaway and can earn more with good behavior in class and/or by purchasing additional chances. Many of the past year’s prizes have included Principal for a Day, a Wii party, a Pizza Party, Lunch with Favorite Teacher, a Private Session in the Adventure Gym, gift cards, and much more. Prize details will be released soon, and chances will be sold during lunch periods this month and also prior to the Movie Night. This is a well-loved event by the students.
