Fall Fundraiser

The fall fundraiser, Save Around Baltimore Coupon Books, will Start October 17th and run thru October 31st. For every 5 books sold you will receive 1 free book to keep for yourself. There are many restaurants, clothing stores and family oriented places to choose from. Look for flyers to come home on October 5th.

Books represent More than $5100 in value. Featuring more than 50 popular local merchants.

Box Tops 4 Education

Box Tops is all about the difference one can make. This year, our goal is $3,000 for activities and programs supported by the PTA. Here are three easy ways you can help:

  1. CLIP – Clip the Box Tops from hundreds of participating products and send them to school or save them for your children to spend at the Box Top Store. THe store will be open once a month beginning in September. Each one is worth 10 cents when our school redeems them from Box Tops for Education.

Shop at Safeway and earn CVE $$

Shop at Safeway between August 10th and Sep 13th (look for the items with a school bus tag), use your club card and CVE will get 10% of the total. Just take your receipt to customer service and they will credit our school! Info will be on the bottom of your receipt.

Sports Day For CVE

Reminder:

Sports Day will be Tuesday, June 7th with a rain date of June 9th.

Please have your athlete wear comfy clothes, tennis shoes and bring sun tan lotion, hat and a water bottle with his/her name boldly written on it. Closer to the time your child will receive a paper identifying what color shirt he/she should wear for the exciting day.  This makes it easier for the volunteers to separate the teams quickly and efficiently.  Kindergarten – Second Grade will be held in the morning and Third- Fifth grade will be held in the afternoon.

Silent Auction Donations Needed

The Silent Auction committee is looking for donations for the auction, if you can help by asking a local restaurant or store for a donation please print the forms in the newsletter and take it to them. No harm ever came from asking, but by not asking you could be missing out on a great opportunity. All donations are tax detectable.

Book Fair/Spring Fair

Come explore at our Scholastic Book Fair…

Scholastic Book Fairs are a great way to get wonderful books at very reasonable prices! There are books for all ages and budgets. Consider purchasing books for:
•  Spring Break reading    • Reading encouragement •  Teacher / classroom gifts    • Summer Vacation reading

When: Fri, April 1
Time: 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Where: CVE Cafeteria

If you can’t attend the Book Fair, you may still use the attached book fair flyer to pre-order books! Submit orders by Thurs, March 31. Be sure to add 6% tax and include your child’s name and teacher. Make checks payable to “CVE.” Expect order delivery within 10 days.
Book sale proceeds benefit CVE’s specials teachers: music, art, gym, technology and library.
