There’s More To Lunch Than PB&J

CVE PTA is excited to present Jenny Glazier as guest speaker. An eye opening look at how your child’s nutrition affects their overall well-being

Jenny Glazier is a graduate of Columbia’s Integrated Nutrition Program.  She will be discussing the link between nutrition and school performance, how to decode food labels and will present ways to involve your kids in their nutrition.  Jenny will also offer creative recipes, easy ways to reduce trash in our kids’ lunches and provide a helpful list of resources to take home.  For more information, please take a moment to check out Jenny’s website at www.mamaglazier.com.  There will be opportunity for Q&A following the presentation.

✮The CVE PTA Wants You!✮

The Nominating Committee is currently recruiting dedicated men and women to serve in the following elected positions for the 2009-2010 school year:

•    President
•    Vice President – Finance
•    Vice President – Advocacy & Administration
•    Vice President – Programming
•    Treasurer
•    Recording Secretary
•    Corresponding Secretary

We need your talent and input. Please consider sharing your time with a group of dedicated parents and teachers in the important role of child advocate. You may also recommend someone for one of these roles. Feel free to contact us with any questions, comments or recommendations. Elections will be held in May at the last PTA General Meeting for this school year.
Please join us at the next few PTA Meetings. PTA Meetings are held the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center.  We would love to see you!

2009 Multicultural Fair and Silent Auction

Please look at the volunteer positions listed for both the multicultural fair and the silent auction. Volunteering for one 30 minute position would be a great way to help make the night a success.  If you are able to volunteer more that is even better!  Be sure to scroll down..it is a LONG list!
